Step two: determine total monthly expenses
for this example we will use $2100
this includes rent, utilities, food, transportation, entertainment, and BRS contributions, and car loan payments
Step three: subtract expenses from income to determine your remainder
$2700-$2100=$600
Step four: allocate your remainder to savings, debt repayment, or additional expenses
for this example we will allocate the remainder to be put into savings until two full paychecks are saved in case of an emergency
